HiDALGO2 — Communication & Dissemination Lead
Led all communication and dissemination activities for a €6 million Horizon Europe research project involving 8 partners from 7 countries, focused on High Performance Computing and AI for environmental challenges.
HiDALGO2 was a major Horizon Europe research project that applied High Performance Computing (HPC) and Artificial Intelligence to pressing environmental challenges including urban air quality, building energy efficiency, renewable energy optimization, and wildfire prediction. The consortium brought together 8 partners from 7 countries across Europe.
As Dissemination and Communication Manager, responsibilities encompassed the full spectrum of science communication activities:
- Managed the project website and all social media channels
- Authored formal project deliverables for the European Commission
- Produced regular newsletters, press releases, and feature articles
- Translated complex scientific outputs on HPC simulation, AI modelling, and environmental science into accessible narratives for diverse audiences
- Conducted interviews with consortium members and researchers
- Coordinated content flows across the multinational partnership
- Chaired monthly communication alignment meetings
- Planned and delivered virtual and in-person international events in Stuttgart, Athens, and via webinars
All target KPIs for website traffic, social media engagement, and press mentions were surpassed. Content quality was routinely praised by project partners and the European Commission project officer.
